Protein Bowl

This bowl is both satiating and easy to make! With beef and bone broth offering a high amount of protein, along with the healthy fats of avocado, digestion benefits of sauerkraut and the superfood qualities of bok choy, this bowl will leave you fueled and fit.

I divide my one pound of beef into four parts to make it last. 1/4 of ground beef is around 27 grams of protein. Depending on the protein intake from my day, I either add a whole jar of bone broth or half the jar. I also half my bok choy and my avocado. The sauerkraut I use is Bubbies Sauerkraut, around $2 for a large jar.

I like the Epic Homestyle Savory Chicken Bone Broth with 16 grams of protein, or the Fond Beef Bone Broth with approximately 18 grams of protein.

Beef $8-10

Rice $5-7

2 Bok Choy $4

Sauerkraut $2

2 avocados $4

If I added up the most expensive of these items, it would round to $27. If this meal lasts for four days, that is around $6.75 per dinner. You can eat well without always breaking the bank!

Ingredients

  • 100% grass-fed ground beef

  • 1/2 cup to 1 cup of rice

  • 100% grass-fed bone broth (optional for added protein)

  • Organic bok choy

  • Avocado

  • Sauerkraut

Step 1

Boil your rice or use your rice maker. Either sub water for bone broth, or sub half water and half bone broth.

Step 2

Cook 1/4 of your beef (use amount desired) in grass-fed, pure butter

Step 3

Steam your bok choy in grass-fed butter by putting a lid over your cast-iron with some water.

Step 4

Add beef, rice, and bok choy to bowl.

Step 5

Cut half or whole avocado and add to bowl.

Step 6

Add a spoonful of sauerkraut.

Enjoy!

Stay Nourished,

Grace
